The Meaning of Life
When I was 17 years old, I usually sneaked out of the classroom to jog. The path toward the playground is surrounded by bushes glittering under the moonlight. As I walked through, the leaves left a caress on my fingers. When I was jogging, I looked up at the sky. If there were stars, I'd count. Each star represented a sweet dream. And if there weren't, clouds could be the channel of my imagination.
What humans do to neglect their present anxiety and depression is to extend their mind to the future. Thus, there was no way to imagine my 20-year-old life contains any unhappiness.
Now two months after my 20th birthday, unfortunately, life doesn't give me much surprise. Maybe it does, but I'm just too greedy to figure it out. I'm used to being alone, like when I was 17. The weather is moisty today, bringing an exhilaration to banyan trees.
What I acquainted wasn't a love story, but Nihilism, which bound me breathlessly. I read large amounts of History during winter holiday, like Arts, Music, Civilization, Philosophy. History always stresses the famous people, who are competent to be its representers. I guess every teenager dreams of being an one in history. Since we were in kindergarten, Parents've been droning on about go to a good university! If we tell them we'd rather open a grocer's, they'll say that's dreamless and spout on how wonderful it is to be a doctor, lawyer or scientist. Plus, they'll ask you later to ensure you've given up your foolish ideas.
Philosophers and scientists, who are recognized as the people holding the richest wisdom. As an outsider, I think they are just like us, who are everywhere in chains. For example, Newton, who exerted himself to find out the trick of immortality.
Men, voyaging in the ship of pain, directed by the compass of desires, desperately pursue.
Life can be divided into three parts, Born, Maintaining Life and Death.
One leads to another inevitably; when the first one is triggered, the two behind must happen.
As we are so depressed and helpless, we persuade ourselves that we should drain our energy into the middle one, which is named Process, lasting a general ideology that present is the one matters.
However, humans are a species that is made of hunting for content. Desire can be recognised as being contented only when it attaches to its relative consequence.
Thus, we've been thinking of the purpose of life for thousands of years.
